Alive in the Arts 2025

For the eighteenth consecutive year, one of my photos has been accepted for Alive in the Arts, a juried exhibition presented by the Plymouth Arts Center in Plymouth, Wisconsin.The exhibition is on view from May 2 through August 1, 2025.

My photograph, Lone Sentinel, was taken near Wausau early on a summer morning.

Photography & is part of a series of competitive exhibitions seeking a breadth of responses within a single medium. This competitive exhibit seeks to give a snapshot of the variety of contemporary discourses within photography. 

My photograph The Hunter - Bald Eagle has been accepted in this juried exhibition presented by the Center For The Visual Arts in Wausau, Wisconsin.The exhibition is on view from June 4 through August 9, 2025.

I caught this eagle feeding on its kill in a farm field while driving Wisconsin’s back roads. I positioned my car with the driver’s side window down and facing the eagle in such a way so as not to spook him. I was able to snap thirty frames before the bird took flight. That series of images allowed me to create this triptych.

16th Annual Fran Achen Juried Photography Exhibition

My photograph, Ridge Runner Farm, was selected for the 16th Annual Fran Achen Juried Photography Exhibition 2025, on view July 5–27, at the Whitewater Arts Alliance in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

Ridge Runner Farm was taken near Bangor, in Wisconsin's Driftless Region. The Driftless is a unique geographical area made up of winding roads through bluffs and down valleys below. The region is a trip back in time and one of my favorite places to photograph.
